Thailand was never colonized or ruled by the western powers and has always remained independent. This can be seen in how traditional Thailand is to today. The winter months (October to March) are the dry season and less hot and humid, April-May are the warmest months and not very rainy. June to October is the rainy season, hot and humid, but the rain breaks up the humidity.
